Insights: In 2014, Paul Picot presented a limited edition of 100 pieces of the steel Gentleman chronograph in Basel as a tribute to legendary Italian pilot Ferdinando "Nando" Minoia. Minoia, born in 1884, was the first professional pilot in history and had an extraordinary career. Among his achievements were winning the first Mille Miglia in 1927 and becoming European Champion driver in 1931. Considered one of the most talented drivers between 1907 and 1931, Minoia worked with car manufacturers such as Fiat, OM, Bugatti and Daimler-Benz.
